Of course Arky had to miss a FG to put it in the bank, but a win is a win. Especially in the SEC, something Croom & Co. haven't been too good at.

Forgive me if I don't gloat and get all giddy.

I had an article in mind about Croom's future. That will have to be put on hold now I'm afraid.

I fear it is moot now and we are guaranteed another year of Croom and a guaranteed 3-9, 4-7 season again next year.

I'm glad State won. But bottom line, we beat a below avg. football team. This was no signature win.

But I'm afraid it was enough.

So good job, Croom. That whooshing sound you hear is not high wind, but a sigh of relief from all the coaches of the SEC.

You are safe for another year, Croom.

And so is the rest of the SEC.

Well, now I'm off down the marina to watch the TT -Okla. game on a buddy's mid-life crisis, look how big my pecker is yacht.
